Product Display Assessment
We look at the product to be displayed and the location required for the promotion. We consider the options with regard to how best to present the packaged product and the desired promotional purpose of the display item. Most often this is done in conjunction with Marketing and Advertising personnel. Havill PackPrint Developments creates the physical structures to best support the promotional requirements. These could include:
- Temporary or Semi-Permanent Free Standing units: Contains & protects products, communicates brand and provides functional attributes. Most often is a prepacked unit transported directly to the retailer and set up in store on floor. Design elements may reflect the promotional theme.
- Temporary or Semi-Permanent Palletised units: Contains & protects products, communicates brand and provides functional attributes. Most often is a prepacked unit transported directly on pallet to the retailer and set up in store on floor. Design elements may reflect the promotional theme.
Recommendations are made regarding the desired locations and the best display mediums to achieve desired marketing objectives. Multiple options may be considered with variations based on cost, durability, functionality, ease of use, etc.
Structural Design, Sampling and Prototyping
Once a selection of display type is made accurate design, sampling and prototypes are required. For some products this can be a complex procedure for others it can be relatively simple.
Transport and assembly testing may be required and approval sought from the retailer. We can provide practical assistance with this process.
Budget Recommendation and Supplier Assessment
Once a project development plan including package specification, design and manufacturing options, has been decided more detailed budgeting and supplier selection processes can be performed.
Assembly and Packing Assessment
Havill PackPrint Developments can assist in briefing and training your in-house or external assembly and packing supplier. If requested we will source a supplier for you.
POS Specification and Version Control
We can assist in the full specification of POS components and provide version control processes to ensure the final approved production meets specification.
We can provide Graphic Design services to suit POS mediums and styles or assist your own designer to provide designs for your POS Components ensuring they meet corporate standards and achieve your marketing objectives. Some components may require specialist design services.
The process of converting the graphic and structural design elements to suit the component medium can lead to disappointment if not executed correctly. Management of the pre-press process can reap significant benefits.
Pre-press management involves all aspects of the production process including material quality control, structural formes and die production and on-press print proofing.
